El Gouna: "macro" paradise, II

by Darja Tjioe
I travelled far to see good macro. I went to the kingdom of critters in Lembeh, Indonesia… Spent hours underwater in the Philippines to take pictures of nudibranchs and seahorses. But to find a pygmy seahorse, right here at home in the Red Sea was one of the most pleasant surprises I had in a while. Although El Gouna may not offer the variety or quantity of other places in the world, it does harbour a few excellent surprises now and then. The different geography of the dive sites offers us a ton of opportunities for different species of critters. Diveology XX: the Indian diver

by Claudio Di Manao
With this article we close the wacky, hilarious and surreal (or maybe very real) guide to the World’s Underwater Species. We are 100% sure that some of our readers have recognised themselves in some description of the different nationalities. Some might have felt a bit touched in the raw, others might have felt a bit ashamed, while some descriptions might made some others proud; but we have no doubts that all of you enjoyed reading the point of view of an experienced dive guide who has visited all the oceans of the world and has guided 1000’s of divers in a professional yet amused (and at times desperate) manner. At the end of the day, scuba diving is nothing but a fun and exciting activity to be doing while on holiday! ...Read more
