 | Camel Dive Club sponsors record-breaking free diver | | | | | Triple Depth 2008, a free diving championship named after the 3 different categories it presents, took place from 10th to 13th June at the Blue Hole, in Dahab. Ashod Papazian sponsored by Camel Dive Club reached 35m depth, the new Egyptian National Record in the Constant Weight with no fins category.
The championship has been held in Dahab for the past 5 years and is known worldwide. Athletes from all over the world gather to participate in this event. The 3 categories are: Free Immersion (FIM), Constant Weight with Fins (CWT), and Constant Weights with no Fins (CNF). The maximum depth limit for all categories was 90m.
This is the first year an Egyptian has participated and Ashod proudly won the new Egyptian National Record. The free diver without a nose clip and mask was drawing comments from the organiser about his new “goggle style”!
Camel Dive Club, the proud sponsor, and the GoRedSea team, would like to congratulate Ashod for his efforts and excellent performance during the competition. www.cameldive.com
