Quseir is a quiet, relaxing but fascinating town. For tourists, it is mainly a watersports and diving destination, and as such, entertainment revolves mostly around early evenings and quiet drinks with friends at the hotels. Going out in the historical town in the evenings can prove to be an interesting thing to do. Stroll along the pretty sea promenade and browse around the dozens of alleys hunting souvenirs and handicrafts. In town, you can choose to spend some time in the typical “ahwa” or cafeteria, where the locals meet after work to play backgammon, smoke a water pipe and watch TV. The town’s recently revamped sea promenade offers a long stripe of restaurants and bars sitting right on the sand. Watching the time pass by with the waves calmly lapping at your feet under a million stars sky is a favourite for locals and tourists alike. Hotels and resorts offer though the customary selection of oriental evenings with belly dancing, piano bar evenings and special weekly theme events. |
