Nuweiba, as a traditional Bedouin town, does not have much entertainment the way we use to think about it in Europe. Nevertheless, a number of picturesque outlets are available for those willing to go out of the hotels and resorts. The local “ahwas”, or cafeterias, and other beach-side bars and restaurants, are places with a strong local flavour where you can relax and enjoy the views and the company smoking a fruit-flavoured waterpipe, having a chat with the locals and drinking some oriental coffee or other local refreshing drinks. Some of them also serve alcohol. The nightlife is more subdued, but in the upscale hotel you can find at least some hotel bar or disco that has the potential for something interesting. However, nothing beats the entertainment of sitting under the stars, watching the moon with the possibility of an evening swim in the Red Sea… |
