Dahab is a paradise for those seeking a laid-back atmosphere with hippiesque ambience and a strong local flavour. The town’s sea promenade of Assalah is the place where all the action is. This pedestrian road is lined on one side by shops, watersport and diving centres, excursion offices and more. On the other side, directly on the beach, are a plaethora of bars, cafeterias and restaurants in the typical local style: palm trees, carpets and cushions to try out the ultimate chill-out experience! Nightlife is subdued, but often divers and surfers organise great full moon parties, either by the beach or in one of the upscale hotel’s discos. More often, evenings transcur chatting away between a shisha and the other, listening to 70’s music and meeting up with the very sociable local scene. |
